Dekhang hotel is perfectly located just outside the old part of Lhasa city. Only about 15 minutes walk from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple.
Recently the hotel went through a complete renovation making it a hotel with traditional design and modern comfort.
The hotel is awarded a gold star standard by the Tibet tourism bureau like Shambhala Hotels. The gold standard ranks higher than a 3 or 4-star hotel. It is given to the hotel with distinctive, high quality, demonstrating an extremely high level of professionalism.
This hotel has 30 rooms. All the rooms have required emanates like air-conditioning, flat TV, electric kettle and a modern bathroom with hot running water. Wifi is provided free for all the occupant.
The hotel is well known for its restaurant on the fourth floor with the Potala Palace’s view in the distance. The restaurant serves Nepalese, Tibetan, Chinese and Continental dishes. Therefore, It is one of the hotspots of local Lhasa people to enjoy authentic Nepalese meals.
Unlike other hotels in Lhasa. Dekhang is located in a tranquil yet centrally located area in Lhasa. Evening walk along the Lhasa Kyichu River is one of the greatest experience this location and hotel can provide.

Even though Lhasa is the biggest city in Tibet and it offers many different options for travellers to stay in. Yet I would like to recommend all the travellers to stay in a local Tibetan-owned facility for the experiences. It also gives you a great opportunity to mingle with local people and know its culture.
